Register General (RG) Clemence Masango, who was recently arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) after purchasing vehicles without Cabinet authority, yesterday appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court and was granted $10 000 bail. The case has raised questions about procurement procedures in government departments and the accountability of public officials. Masango is expected to return to court for his trial on charges of criminal abuse of office.
